    I'll add;

    That the most recent Gallup Poll shows where 42% of the people consider themselves as Independent and can no longer identify with the Repubs and Dems.

    The Libertarian Party's Platform is more inline with the younger generation because we are the ONLY Political party that;

    Supports a Balanced Budget Amendment
    That law abiding citizens should be subject to zero Gun Laws.
    Non intervention in other countries unless our security is at stake.
    A strong Defense as called for in The Constitution.
    Equal Rights for all Citizens.
    An end to the IRS and the Federal Reserve.
    An end to Crony Capitalism
    Free Markets
    It's such a shame that in the USA, defending Liberty has become such a heroic deed.

    Well, with former Gov and Convict Edwin Edwards (D) getting into the race backed by a Repub Super Pack (some think Karl Rowe's), he is sure to take some of Landrieu's votes. Her Repub challengers are a joke so dragging out Edwin Edwards(85 years old) is the Repubs best shot.

    Libertarians will do well on college campi where pot is in ample supply... And maybe in parts of CO, CA and WA and with a few swamp rats in LA

    With a really big National surge they could hit 2% of the vote...

    Your statement just demonstrates how out of touch you truly are. I consider YOU to be a part of the problem!

    I suggest that you read some David Boaz.

    How many years have the Libertarians been trying to build a party? 7...10...12...18..???...and their top guy Ron Paul's most recent runs for President were as a "REPUBLICAN"....even he get's it! We have a two party system....and all those who have change over to Independents....are not looking for a third party....they are not sure which of the two parties they will support...but few of them vote for third party candidates....

    You Repubs sure love living in the past!

    First of all, our Candidate was Gov. Gary Johnson who received 11million votes. Not bad for a man that was the more qualified of the three running, even with a media and Debate boycott. The last thing the Repubs and Dems want is a candidate in the race with different ideas of how to make America a better place!

    The Libertarian Party was begun in 1971 as an alternative Party to the Repubs because we knew that by getting off of the Gold Standard during the Nixon years, the Fed Reserve and Fed government would destroy the dollar, the economy and create a huge Debt!

    The Party began to re-emerge in 08 behind Dr Paul. I challenge YOU to site one example where Dr Paul was wrong about the Fiscal Policies of government and the Fed! Lets hear it.

    Today, with the growing alienation of those under 45 year of age, those not served by the Dems or Repubs is why we now have candidates running in every major race in 2014. Unlike the Repubs and the Dems, we do so without huge cash from Special Interest, Lobbyist and Super Pacs. That's because we fight for Freedom and represent THE PEOPLE and not Special Interest!

    We are the only Political Party of The People, By The People and For The People.
