Here is Gypsum, the Foster pup who came with 10 sibngs and his mom 4 days after wardens darted and noose-poled her, to my home as a foster. Gypsum's mom was in quarantine at the animal shelter and she whelped 11 pups on day 2 of quarantine. Most dogs that I've had, I got at 7 weeks of age or later. Gypsum's been at my home since he was 2 days old.
One weekend when I was at a trial, my wife, who promised that everyone would leave, advised the dog that got returned had a new last name: "Atkinson".
Since then he's rode along on a few training sessions.
He doesn't know he's not a lab.
