    1. Since the deadline to sign up has passed, new blood (premium) which is essential will fall way off to levels even lower than during the open enrollment which was dismal.

    2. We will find out haw many actually signed up i.e. pay for the coverage.

    3. We will find out how many continue to pay for their new found coverage after the bank draft comes out for a couple of months.

    4. We will find mouth how many drop their coverage after they have had their condition treated.

I could go on but you get my drift.

This admin will bury the numbers so deep, it will take years for a full reckoning on the actual numbers. The HIC's will be blamed once again for the double digit price increases that come out next year. They have already taken their pound of flesh on 2011-2013 rates and renewals. After the dust settles, there will be just as many uninsured as we had before the U.C.A. The main objective with the law was to cost shift even greater than previously done.

A pertinent questions is the breakdown of that 6 million ... how many of them were actually uninsured before? Many signed up for Medicaid, but even they had been on Medicaid previously & simply had to re-sign-up with the change in Medicaid. We well know that many who signed up had individual coverage before, but the law compelled them to change plans. Some of the latter ended up with no coverage at all. One estimate I've seen is that 1.7% of the uninsured have now gained coverage. That would be about 765,000 (based on 45 million uninsured) Have an equal number become uninsured, who were insured previously?

All this $ spent, (much wasted as MD simply discarded their $126 million system that didn't work, and are getting a do-over with CT's vendor; not to mention the other states with websites that don't work) ... and so little to show for it.

None of the Dems have told us anything true about this new law up to now. I have little faith that we will get any truth from this point forward either.

As much as I hated his previous budget proposals for not having any guts, the one he presented yesterday was his best effort to date.
It's such a shame that in the USA, defending Liberty has become such a heroic deed.
