OK all the talk about collars, I went to AKC and read this

Leashes and collars shall be used as follows: In Senior
and Master Tests, dogs shall be brought to the line and
taken from the line off-lead and without collars. Collars
and leashes may be put on the dogs after they leave the
line and are in back of all the Judges. Dogs shall be considered
under judgment from the time that they are called
to come to the line until they have left the line and are in
    back of all judges.

So does this mean that in JR test you can have collars?

Yes, the dog may wear a flat collar and be brought to the line on a leash. The leash must be put in your pocket after you take it off. You may also hold the dog by the flat collar until you release him.

    Labman63,
You mention Saturday morning, is this a test or club training day? If available please pm with you club info as I am interested in both test and training days.
    Thanks

Relax and have fun. Breathe. Remember a dog is a dog is a dog....You never have said where and what stake so this is very general advice...

Another thought beyond breathing, the dog you bring to the test is not the dog you were training on Thursday..... Be prepared for surprises.
