    Default Training, Exercise & Photos

It's been a long winter and spring has finally decided to stay. What with the shoulder issue (surgery), my four dogs have been hibernating. After a few "romps" to break through the cob webs and stretch a bit, we did more conditioning at the Riverside Park DTA. It is a short drive to the large section of land that is often a flood plain. Previous floods have swept several trees up into the area and "left them". The county has just mowed around them.

The setup was mostly short and fun. The camera was taken into the field for a few photos. It ended up being a lot more than the initial plan. Here's a link to the website page with the "run down" and photos. I never noticed how "different" jumping forms look in "stop action photos".

The order was Daisy, Gunny and Kooly with Taffey taken out last to pick up the "stuff". When we got out there, she was given a chance.

Taffey is getting up in age, but her mind remains sharp.

We took a day off yesterday and had time to make a YouTube slide show.

    Jim,

Very cool video and it looks like the dogs were having a blast, getting back to fighting form

"how do you do that going through YouTube?"

Several years ago an online program (bought yearly membership) made it possible to add photos (one at a time) to make slide shows. Each photo could be previewed and individually edited (several different possibilities...motion by zooming in or out, moving up or down, sizing, time in seconds, etc.). Best results were obtained by starting with the right size photo. The learning curve was not too steep.

Unfortunately, they are closing down at the end of this month. The only place to store and view slide shows must be somewhere other than at One True Media. I've taken the time to upload and edit several that were just linked to my Website. I did make a couple new ones recently, thus the recent influx of "projects" on my YouTube channel.

YouTube makes for a fairly seamless download. Once "in" I can trim and do additional enhancements. The only issue has been copyright infringements with audio choices. Music is more or less limited to a list YouTube provides.

Making the slide shows had become a fairly simple and efficient process. Unfortunately, doing it this way ends in a couple of weeks. If you "Google" One True Media it might be possible to see the slide show technique (for about two more weeks).

I've been searching for another program and not looking forward to the new learning curve.
