"To become competent in governing others, we must first learn to govern ourselves"
Reminded me of the Cold War. Back in the 80's we used to get buzzed all the time by the Soviets. I remember being off the coast of Viet Nam and a Soviet Bear would cruise over us every day, escorted by two Tomcats. Of course, we were doing the same thing to them. Today I'm sure it is a bit more tense because we don't have the built-in stability of the Cold War to prevent people from panicking and doing something stupid.
