like all our Mamma's told us. who you hang with is as important as how you act. sounds like you need a new group.
I have been told he did not really have college degrees since noone has seen his transcripts.
ever seen another President hide his?
I get almost daily an email in bad taste becasuse he is black.
if you subscribe to a list of such, that is on you. maybe change your mail lists. Myself, I get a "word of the day" from a well known dictionary web page.
Couple all that with the fact he is a democrat and wala racism shines through loud and clear.
    but is he?
Point is, it has never gone away....just now has been more obvious!
I have been of the opinion for a very long time now that the democrats, overall have been much more racist. At least with the social programs and such. Like the old saying, "You can keep a rat in a cage with a lock, or a piece of cheese.".

Ken now come on.....what is the % of African Americans in Vermont?

You are one of the smart ones on this site in my opinion...others may disagree, but lets look at your observation.

Vermont republican don't have any problems with blacks but lets not let a black family move in next door.

in our last election cycle, Mr. Brock the republican who ran and lost. Is black. It was never an issue nore brung up when they were running.
and right next door to me, well our back yards abutt, is a black family. He is a retired Navy Lawyer. I was very happy when he moved in. I don't lock the truck like when the frat boys were in the same spot.

Apparently he knows what lurks in your heart too.

Menmon, I think you need to change your circle of friends if they are so bigoted.

I never said they were my friends.

My point is many think this way and it has become more apparent with him as president. Whether you like his politics or not his race should not be an issue. But he has had to defend his birth right, his education, his religion, and why because he is black. He has been accused as an affirmative action president.

If black is what makes him so good, I want another black man as president, but I really think it has more to do with his education and his grip on the struggles of many folks from personal experience.

Mike, he hasn't defended any of that... He has egged it on by not producing school records, dragging out the birth cert. issue etc. He knows the media is on his side and will belittle any who question him... So it behooves him to have the questions linger.

i very much disagree with this statement. how do you know it is his education that makes him so good? you are the only one i have seen bring up the race thingy. "best defense is a good offense"?????

GW was also called "stupid" by the media, so if people say Obama is not doing well in his job, it wouldn't be the first time that's been done to a POTUS. Agree that he, himself, raised the questions about his education by concealing the records. Why would he bother doing that?

"his grip on struggles from personal experience" ... NOT. Obama grew up in the upper middle class. Even in Malaysia he was in upper middle class. Went to a high-class prep school in HI. He says he had school loans to pay off, but he also got grants for his education. Very little evidence that he held any significant job during his college years.

Compare his early life to Ben Carson's. No contest. Might also compare Carson's ability to speak without a teleprompter ... and Carson started out with a speech impediment as a youngster.

I'm glad those people are not your friends. I can only say that no emails I've received that are negative about Obama have ever mentioned his race. They have focused on his behavior ... which is about "the content of his character".
