Yes, and as indicated Stevens did turn it down twice and at the time of the attack there were 5 security agents around just as originally requested.

These various fact checking sites prove that much is known about the whole situation such as:

and then there is the Senate bi-partisan report, 10,000 pages of testimony, etc, etc, remind me, why do we need another special committee? Oh, that's right, to get the truth.

Stevens turned it down? Didn't read that anywhere, might of missed it though.
His reference is to requests made by Stevens and other U.S. officials in Libya to the State Department leadership in Washington.
"There are disagreements about whether State acted reasonably, but that it didn't honor requests for additional security is established fact," said Georgetown University adjunct assistant professor Daveed Gartenstein-Ross, who is also a senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, which focuses on foreign policy and national security.
The State Department has acknowledged it rejected requests to provide more security personnel in Libya. It also acknowledged rejecting a request to erect guard towers at the Benghazi mission, but notes that a number of physical security upgrades, such as the installation of concrete barriers to block unused gates, were made during 2012.

Yes, in fact you conveniently did. A simple search of "ambassador Stevens rejected security" is all you need to do besides reading one of your own links.

I did your search by way of copy and paste. I came up with this on the first page. I would have been a little more interested in the Wall Street Journal article mentioned in this one, but I don't have a subscription.

I got those too. Look further down, still first page though. Does it even apply to what you are discussing? Just trying to figure this out. Your first link says the reason he denied it is "unclear" Does the link I found clear it up?

Why is anyone arguing about the security provided. That is not the issue. The story is about the cover up immediately after led by the White Houses Susan Rice.

E-mails show she was coached to say it was the Internet Video and not a planned terrorist attack that caused the mob mentality. One has to ask why? There has to be more to this story only the CIA and Obama did not want coming out. Information that would hurt him in the Nov election.

The fish rots from the head, as the saying goes, and no further proof is needed than a Sept. 14, 2012, email from Ben Rhodes, an assistant to the president and deputy national security adviser for strategic communications, contained in more than 100 pages of documents released by Judicial Watch and obtained in a Freedom of Information Act request.

That email, with the subject line: "RE: PREP Call with Susan: Saturday at 4:00 p.m. ET," was sent to other key White House staffers such as then-Communications Director David Plouffe and Press Secretary Jay Carney the day before now-National Security Adviser Susan Rice made her whirlwind tour on five Sunday news show appearances to specifically and emphatically blame an Internet video for the Sept. 11, 2012, attack on the American diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, in which U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other nationals were killed.

One of the goals listed in the emails was the need for Rice "to underscore that these protests are rooted in an Internet video, and not a broader failure or policy." She was also to "reinforce the President and Administration's strength and steadiness in dealing with difficult challenges." Her job was not to tell the truth, but to put lipstick on the Obama administration's Benghazi pig.

Politics stink, as do the politicians. They twist fact for their gain. A young man was imprisoned for making a movie about Islam.

Is this the America we want? Does not matter about which political party the POTUS is working for. The POTUS needs to rise above politics when we fall under attack.

And yet another email has come to light by the committee that was not needed because this all transparent regime has already provided all the relevant information about Benghazi. This email states this administration was on the phone at 9 pm trying to get youtube to take down the video. How about making a call to save American lives Mr. Commander and Chief?

In a letter to the House Oversight chairman, the department said on Friday that Kerry could appear on June 12 or June 20 to discuss the Obama administration's cooperation with the panel in providing emails and other documents related to the Sept. 11, 2012, attack that killed U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans.

The department said that appearance 'would remove any need for the secretary to appear before the select committee to answer additional questions.'

In response, Frederick Hill, a spokesman for the Oversight Committee, said Chairman Darrell Issa had accepted Kerry's offer to appear June 12.
