I am fortunate. Have had several serve, but none have made that ultimate sacrifice.

I sincerely thank those that have.

Daughter of a co-worker, classmate of my children, was shot down in Iraq piloting a CH 46 Sea Night helicopter. She could have done anything in life, yet she choose to serve her country in the Marine Corps.

Marine Capt. Jennifer Harris .. Semper Fi ..rest in peace. you gave the ultimate sacrifice flying rescue missions bringing our wounded soldiers to the hospitals.

I think I posted this before but at this time of the year my family always remembers this article written about my cousin Ely (named after my oldest brother)...

but I will also pay tribute to all my father's fallen heroes from his unit the US 26th Calvary Filipino American Scouts and all those they left behind

Lost a nephew in Desert Storm and a high school classmate in Somalia. Not in the Black Hawk Down thing, but was in the country when it happened.

Thank You to all that are serving, have served, and those who have given the ultimate sacrifice. My son served in the Corp. My son in law is in the Coast Guard, and several relatives saw WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam.

Thank you to all that have served, especially the ones that didn't make it home.
