Default The National Labrador Club letter to conformation judges

This letter appeared to really upset a lot of the show people and it went out I believe right after Westminster. I don't know... looks ok to me.

I was at a conformation show in York Pa. about 2 months ago. There were approx. 70 Labs entered. ALL of them were short and FAT. I watched them trot about 20 ft., most were out of breath after a short trot.

I don't see a problem with it. I like the part that says "FAT" labs will not be shown. My wife calls me crazy but other peoples fat labs bother me.

Good. Now, let's hope the GRCA follows suit. Here - "Primarily a hunting dog, [the Golden Retriever] should be shown in hard working condition."

I'm gonna start practice gaiting my ft dogs. Can I use dead bird in the ring?

Some who support this measure have also suggested that LRC take additional action to require Labradors competing in field trials to also abide by the standard.
