Virginia has a sore loser law. Thus he will have to be a write in in instead of running Independent.

Virginia Code 24.2-520 : A candidate who loses a primary shall be prohibited from having his name on a general election ballot.

some people would say that you have lived in a lot of places. That is meaning that someone that has lived in a location their entire life, would say you've lived in a lot of different places.

OK.. the web and PP are full of speculation. Cantor has lost a primary. He will most likely re-appear. The speculation is that this is a T-P victory.
Perhaps though this is just a groundswell anti-incumbent early primary event. Will the groundswell get legs? Will anti-incumbent sentiment continue to grow?

I do not know much about Brat, but since VA does not register voters by party there is a possibility that Dems voted for Cantor's opponent thus trying to make it easier for their candidate. I believe the Dems got a candidate at the last minute.

The Limbaugh conspiracy action plan...people of the opposite party vote for the most likely candidate to fail in the general election. I listened to Brat last night and he claims to be a real Republican while others are imposters and have forgotten the real Republican way ?

If he runs as a write in, it will syphon off votes for the guy who won the primary. Is your district so red that it can still put a R in office if 2/3 of the vote is divided between to Rs?

In rural VA where this is yes. If it were Northern VA this would be a dem seat. But its not.

Did Cantor lose due to "border issues?"
    (amnesty???)
Or did he lose due to his personal arrogance?

His people had him up 34 points, he lost by what, 12 points?
How does a campaign manager miss by this much?

I read he spent very little time in his district, feeling he had this in the bag.
