For the tea party becoming a ground swell. This is right in the middle of primary season with 24 states left and 11 of are are blue through and through.

The R's are trying to save Cochran, from Mississippi, in the runoff but they are having a hard time keeping the oatmeal wiped off his chin. He will not even debate McDaniel.
I feel sorry for the old guy. Looks like the TP may get another seat.

The Teas in Virginia threw their support behind Floyd Bayne and not David Brat!

The media just doesn't know any better.

Besides, David Brat is a student of Mises, Hayek, Rothbard and Ayn Rand. Hardly a Tea curriculum!

It was the local TP groups which backed him. The National TP Organizations, which they really missed a opportunity, couldn't take a chance on 99-1 shot hurting their track record.

Why were there only 2 canidates on the ticket? If they really did get behind Bayne then he should have made the ballot.

FYI that article is as credible as the one you can find about the TP backing Joe the Plumber.

So how much did their groups spend to help Brat win?

    Zero.

Of the measly $4,805 in political expenditures against Cantor reported to the Federal Election Commission, none came from the big national tea party groups, according to data compiled by the nonpartisan Sunlight Foundation. The bulk was spent by a newly formed super PAC called We Deserve Better PAC on an online ad that attacked Cantor as pro-amnesty.

I'm trying to research the PAC We Deserve Better and as far as I can tell, they are an anti-amnesty PAC.

Again, Brat is a student of Mises, Rothbard, Hayek and Ayn Rand...all Libertarian icons. I'm NOT saying that Brat is a Libertarian, it is just no one really knows much about him outside of his university.

I am glad he has studied some of the writings of LIbertarians, so that he knows what not to do!

Richmond proper is mostly district 3 not 7. To say Cantor's district is Richmond is far from accurate. It includes the far west end of Richmond, but that is about it. The far west end is republican. The majority of district 7 is the outlying counties.

See.. the Tea Party should replace the Republicans.. many still relate the Republican Party to big rich white guys... The only way you win back this country and defeat the Dems is getting the old bums out of office.

Cantor lost because he supported amnesty of illegals... the road to the White House will be about border control and deportation.

Have to love Ted Nugent's take on who makes up Washington...

.44 magnum....I agree, this election was about Cantor supporting amnesty, so was McConnell and other Republican's that have won their primaries. The media, Dem's, and Rino Repub's are trying to deny this and spin it, but the facts so far, say that the number one voting issue is Illegal Immigration.

Obama is actually helping the Conservative Republicans (not all Tea Party guys)......we actually have quit a few Republicans that are against illegal immigration and want the borders closed now.
