    PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE IN DATE - SAVE THE DATE: Gateway Retriever's Hunting Retriever Club is hosting a retriever training seminar with J. Paul and Melanie Jackson. J. Paul Jackson owns Lone Oak Retrievers and is the host of "Drake's Migration Nation" TV show. The seminar will be on August 9-10, 2014 at the August A. Busch Memorial Conservation Area, 2360 Highway D, St. Charles, Missouri 63304.

    J. Paul will be providing all attendees with an in-depth training flow chart and training guide that includes how-to information on basic obedience, collar conditioning, force fetch, training a retriever to handle on land and water, and de-cheating.

    Day 1 will cover foundation training which includes basic obedience, collar conditioning, and force fetch. All will be discussed in depth by J. Paul as Melanie demonstrates proper technique. On the afternoon of day 1 we will cover transition training in the yard and field.

    Day 2 will be devoted to advanced training including developing the dog's technical skills, problem solving, and hunt test preparation.

    I am planing on attending both days. Is this seminar encouraging people to bring their dog or not?
