Your dog's brains would be scrambled eggs if you ran all those marks, crossing all those lines and having marks that close to each other from different setups.I've seen dogs come back to a field a year later and remember where marks were a year before. I saw about 4-5 good blinds.I personally wouldn't do chinese drill there and waste a nice technical pond, you can be creative and do chinese blinds in a round pond. I can see you training marks on that pond twice a week easy. After mark setup is done go back out a do one blind that way you don't burn out that pond too fast. Hope you get permission it's a very nice pond. Guy

those lines are blinds not marks hence why a lot of the end points were the same. blinds are our most lacking attribute at this time. the prevailing wind will most likely be out of the west, south, or southwest thats why all the mats were on the south and west sides of the pond if we were to get some kind of cold front out of the north in the middle of the summer then i could design a few more or they could easily be flipped around

the good news: no one owns it! well the builder owns it but he's built 10 homes in the ~25 acres out there and none have sold in 2 years. the nearest residents (ones that own the land on the north side of it and who have a barb wire fence at north side) said they wouldn't have any problem and that the builder was a pain in their butt but honestly didn't see the harm in it especially if i was to clean it up
the bad news: it needs some heavy TLC. gonna try and find a buddy that will let me borrow their riding mower and mow it once with the deck all the way up and then again with it down. bush hog would be best but i don't know anyone with a bush hog.

here's some of the pics that i could get.

here's one more pic. its right beside the house and you could run a decent get on the point and get off or an avoid the point blind and then the land in the vacant subdivision that looks usable are the other 2 pics

only took brief look but looks like many possibilities in that neck of the woods. seems to be a few quail plantations around.
    water to check out.
the water at end of Vulcan or Maple worth exploring.
knock on door at this house. the land & water at end of 578 (3515 Grant)
"Darla" AFC Candlewoods Lil Smokin Tequila (2002-2013)(fondly remembered)
"Smoke" Smokin Auggies Menace, QAA (2003- )(retired nut case, ask Rando)
"Simba" Humewood Simba (1999-2014)(my 1st dog)

    .

Fee maybe I should move to OK and buy up that ponds land! Don't worry I'd let you train. I would love access to water like that. I'm jealous.

i'll go by vulcan and maple but i'm pretty sure that is a gravel and clay pit. have to have MSHA (mining safety etc) training to be on the property. tried this out with another place near my house.
the other property is 35 mins away from my house and just isnt feasable on a weekday afternoon. i actually live 3 miles north of the interstate at exit 114 (Haskell/hwy67 exit). while it does look good we have a dedicated retriever training pond 30 mins by interstate away and that serves as my weekend training grounds. but i still may check this place out for another option on the weekend.

MM: i looked up one of the vacant houses on a real estate company 3br/2ba 2600 sq ft hard wood floors and stained concrete etc. 244k. i think the empty lots run around 35k. rolling meadows is the name of the subdivision. of course the idiotic plot setup is that all the lots have a 1/10 of the pond with all the corners of the plots meeting in the center of the pond. also the road is called oklahoma rd the city is benton ar.

Should be able to get someone to bush hog that property for less than $500 and it will be good til Aug or Sept. I would guard that place like a top secret duck hunting spot on public property. The first time someone sees you out there training every guy with a dog and bumper will be there. Might want to stay up to date with the builder, he will be filling for bankruptcy soon and you will need to discuss entry with the bank.

i will say i was a little disappointed with the barb wire fence. it runs right in front of the tree on the north and between the two sheds. def could get more use if it wasnt there.

as far as people seeing it. like i said the neighborhood is vacant and its 3 miles from any road that gets any traffic. i think i'll keep this "mythical" $500 and riding lawn mower it. more work but at least i can do that. i aint payin 500 (that i dont have) for something that may get taken away at any time

Check around to find a pull behind mower(4wheeler), much safer than using a rider considering you have no ideer if there are any washouts on the property. Might be able to find a 60" cut that will be plenty for this area. Good Luck
