    Default Joint supplement??

Lots of information out there on joint supplements. What is the best? Going to need to put my dog on one so I want the best there is. Any suggestions? Thanks.

There are a few good ones (the ingredients/origin of the chondroitin and glucosamine matter so do your homework) and a lot more junk ones but one of the most widely used/prescribed is Nutramax Lab's Dasuquin MSM chewable tablets. My dog takes it like a treat and seems to not show as much stiffness.

My vet recommended that I start my 7 year old BC on cosequin. She said that many of the over the counter glucosamine supplements have questionable quality. Sadly the gigantic bottle of osteobiflex that I bought for my elderly mother and that she can no longer take she recommended against. She said that she had heard that it caused quite a few stomach upsets. I ended up purchasing these: http://www.amazon.com/Nutramax-Coseq...words=cosequin

It will take about 6 weeks for me to see results, but after 1 week I can report that she has not suffered any stomach issues.

One of the best I have found is made by Animal Naturals K9 Joint Strong.

I have had excellent results, better than you could expect, with Nutramax Cosequin DS Double-Strength Chewable.

    Good Luck, Alan

Ive given Myristin for years and am happy with it although I wish dogs could talk so I know for sure. It is not the cheapest one youll find out there.
