    Default Drug Tests

Why don't we require our elected officials to take drug tests. Most jobs now require them.
I have never understood why you can have the best trained dogs in the world, but when you put two dogs together the act like they have a half a brain between the both of them.

I would just be happy if they had some common sense & a dose of financial literacy .

I am more afraid that they couldn't pass a field sobriety test, let alone a drug test...

Congress will never pass any regulation that will take them out of office..i.e. term limits, drug testing

the only recourse we have is to stop re electing them to offices

Do you have a suspicion some elected official is smoking the Whacky weed?
    I don't think I smell like a brewery. I was drinking Scotch.

I spent 23 years in the aviation biz and was subject to random drug tests. As a teacher, I eat from the government trough. I believe that anyone who eats from the government trough should be subject to random drug tests. That includes anyone receiving govt assistance.
Unfortunately, administering a system for this would probably be cost prohibitive.

Well, that's reasonable, but only as it pertains to the legality of drug use. Since we appear to feel that it is ok for our officials to indulge in "demon rum" since it is legal, seems to me that the only real issue is one of legality, not one of intoxication.
