    Default First Master Brag!!!

My boy just passed his first master test, proud papa here. wish I could take more credit for it but all credit goes to his trainer/handler Julie Knutson! Cant tell you how much I have sacrificed to get this far. A dog 1250 miles away, 2 kids 5 and 7 that are mad as all hell they dont have their dog, a wife that reminds me everyday that this was suppose to be a hunting/family dog, a bank account steady moving in the wrong direction...lol but a dog that nailed his first master test!!!! Really want to thank my trainers Paul and Julie Knutson of Gunclub Retrievers in Orchard Colorado. Their program has been awesome, they have the most amazing facility I have seen, the care for the dogs is top notch oh and did I mention he points too... lol Also want to thank my breeders Dale and Brenda Merrit aka Bearpoint Kennels... My little runt dog turned out to be the big dog in the litter..LOL (I had the pick and just liked this guy)

Couldnt agree more Gosser.. Every time I goto a hunt test or a training day you always hear people telling horror stories about this trainer or that trainer or what ever and I always just shutter inside and think how fortunate I was to hook up with the right trainer (for me anyways) right out of the gate. I have had to learn the hard way in so many other aspects of life, this one just felt right straight from the gate.. Its funny cause he was the best hunting dog I ever had when he was only 13 months old, no matter how bad I tried to undermine the program..lol

Congratulations! Sounds like a wonderful team.

What if all we have today is what we gave thanks for yesterday?
