Default Looking for trainer recommendations in Kansas

I will be bringing home my new pup this December. I am looking for recommendations on trainers in the somewhere near Wichita, Ks.

My girl is bread for field trials, Mom (Maggie) is a litter mate to Ammo and dad (Porter) is a 4 time grand master pointing lab and has 29 dogs in 5 generations that have either AFC, FC or both. Any how I am hoping to end up with a really good dog here.

Greg Nelson Kansas City Retrievers. Probably around 3 hour drive from you . Couldn't be happier with how my pup is coming along.

You might talk to Russell Baker... he isn't a "Pro" but he might be able to suggest a good trainer. He lives in Independence, Ks
Also Lonny Taylor and Brice Romero are near Wichita.

Bud specializes in young dogs for hunting, hunt tests and preparation for field trials. Participates in AKC and HRC Hunt Tests, Master National, Derby and Qualifying Field Trials. He has trained many of the siblings from the 4 repeat breedings that originally produced "Ammo". He has also trained many of the dogs that were bred by Santa Fe Labs (the breeder of "Ammo").

He has excellent training grounds, technical water, all indoor kennels, airing yard, chassis mount truck, duck/pheasant flight pens and all necessary equipment for training retrievers. A local retriever club annually uses his grounds for hunt tests and field trials as well.

    Give him a call........

Dan Heard, Downtown Retrievers, http://www.downtownretrievers.com/ , is operating out of the Flint Hills for the summer.
Lots of FT and HT experience.
As mentioned, both Greg and Bud will do a very good job.

Bud McConnaughy at Red Label Kennels in El Dorado Springs, MO is perfect for you. You will not find a better trainer and on top of that, he is a great person and as honest in business as you will find anywhere.
