    Default In the not....

..... to distant future Obama will no longer be POTUS. 2014 Midterms will unlikely change the balance of power in the house and senate. Will the office of POTUS fall to the heir apparent????
I suppose efforts at empeachment and law suits can be continued...but what about after 2016?
Who waits in the wings to guide and inspire the country to exceed and excel?
Do any of the Nattering Nabobs on PP have any suggestions?
    Why are we waitng....????

If you have better ideas and plans,,,why are they not forthcoming?

They have no real solutions, all they have is a lot of hot air to blow off. They point all of the problems, but offer no real solutions other than throwing a tantrum like a 2 year old that doesn't get his/her way.

How about everyone follow our constitution and the laws we currently have on the books?

Sadly, only another civil war will remove the Democrats from power. Why, they have the votes in a National election.

We also got the third party candidates that take votes away from Republicans who could bring this country back. We will go bankrupt at some point, and the Civil War will begin.

So the party that bankrupted the Country is the solution to getting us out of bankruptcy? Now that is an entertaining thought. Seems like the problem is the Republicans and Democrats are the same party at this point, this Country can't take another eight years of either.

mngundog has a good set of eyes.
Its obvious to anyone who understands the role of the main stream media that no matter who gets in,,our problems will wax worse and worse. This country is intentionally being destroyed from with in. No average person who is patriotic could make the irrational decisions that the last 4 administrations have made. . This is not a new problem. It has gone on for thousands of years. Only we have a more subtle perverted system now,,making it nearly impossible to turn these situations round. This is without a doubt a spiritual problem and can only be fixed by people who live a spiritual( not religious) life style. Someone who can see through the bullshit and has the legal power to annihilate it.

I have a tiny bit of hope for the Republican Party. There is on candidate that actually wants to shrink both the welfare and warfare state. All the other repubs seem to worship the military as the democrats worship entitlements. The only way we are going to fix this country financially is to cut both areas drastically

Kind of interesting that the PAC "Ready for Hillary" raised $2.4 million last month ... while the PAC to draft Ben Carson to run for POTUS raised $3.3 million.

I have reservations that someone like Carson could navigate DC. OTOH, we do know that when Carson became a brain surgeon it was because he identified his talents & then worked hard to perfect them for his goal. When confronted with what seemed insurmountable problems in his profession, he studied them thoroughly to find solutions, and has the intellect to do so.

Is it possible that someone who has integrity, intelligence and love of the Constitution & country could actually make a difference? If it is possible, then it could the real "revolution" be to see voters turn to electing honorable officials?

If you've read any of Carson's books, you know that he has a deep interest and knowledge of the history of the US. He has known poverty and struggle, first-hand. He has done both hard, manual labor and hard academic labor. Can "fairness" to all (the common good) also respect each individual's unalienable rights? If there is an intellect that can delve into that conundrum, it could be Carson's?

Should voters take a chance on an "unknown"? Heck, they did in 2008. While I may have reservations about whether Carson is right for the job, I can think of no D candidate that could compete for my vote if he were running against Carson. I'd be willing to vote for his character, intellect, and love of country and Constitution.

You hit the nail on the head. Comments like 44's and others makes one realize they really don't understand the problem and still view the Dem vs Repub paradigm as the solution. There is a word for it, "statis" as in Status Quo or static, those willing to perpetuate the same failed two Party system. One would have to not paid any attention over the last several decades to not understand how much the Repubs have contributed to the problems of today.

That is why I am such a huge proponet of the Millennials and Gen Xers, they for the most part understand that the problem IS the Repubs and the Dems!

And, for those on here that are advocating for another Civil War; Do you really think a bunch of old white folks with the help of some rednecks and cowboys could win? It would be all the excuse your opposition would need in rubbing you out.

Not in your lifetime or mine will you ever see a Third party candidate will a national election, unless those who run Washington decide to change the way elections are run... The money spent to win votes just can't be matched by a Third Party candidate.

I admire your ideals and hope, but money spent buys elections.
