It is interesting. Your comment is pretty ironic since I would be surprised if Barry knows how good it feels to strike a nail surely and firmly. I really do get the impression that Obama has no real "skills" (would be dangerous around power tools, and completely lost in any "survival" situation), not what those of us in the "fly over" states think of as a "man's man". Jimmy Carter (as terrible as he was) could swing a hammer and drive a nail for Habitat for Humanity, and we all saw Reagan and GW swinging an axe and running a chainsaw. All, at Barry's age, would have made decent "hands" on a job, and could also use the grey matter that nature provided them. Carter was even a farmer at one point. Barry would have been one of the Pigs in Animal Farm.

I agree with you on both aspects of Carter, however Junior with a chainsaw was a photo op, pretty much the equivalent to Obama trap shooting.

    From that article:
The entire idea of politicians as society’s leadership is an inversion of the real order of things: Government is not here to lead anybody anywhere — it is here to serve us in the important but limited role of coordinating collective action toward such ends as physical security and the enforcement of contracts.
And I guess that's why the Founders never figured they'd need term limits. They figured that the politicians would serve a term or two and then go back home to earn a living ... back to their farms, businesses and law practices.

I'm going to gently disagree with you here. I've done enough bushwhacking to recognize someone who is familiar with the tools. GW didn't look a bit afraid of the chainsaw and those not accustomed to their use tend to be a bit wary (and rightly so).
