Default Alternative to front line type tick protection

What alternatives to pesticides are you using that work?

The Seresto collar is excellent. It is a hi tech way to apply Advantix, which is also good.

Had some great results with K9 Advantix II this season.

I use Advantix as we'll. but I believe OP was looking for a more natural less toxic approach. I too would be interested in that if it really worked!

Something that kills fleas or ticks is TOXIC whether it is natural or not. The problem with the so-called natural products is that there is no toxicology.

Something "natural" like Yarrow can be deadly. I too wish there was something from nature, but toxins are toxins.

Worked great for mine as well. Frontline did not work. Had fleas twice.

I've been lucky I guess. Both Frontline and Advantage has worked well for my dog. Even Pet Armour has worked. Maybe flees just don't like my dog.

I switched to nexgard and haven't found a single tick. I couldn't be happier with the results.

Bug Off Garlic... along with Seresto collar. And Bayer said I can still use K9 Advantix for hunting season when we are in deeply tick infested woods...

The use of Bug off Garlic makes it seem like an Italian meal is being cooked. I am skeptical about using just Bug Off Garlic because of Lyme Disease being so heavily in the area where I hunt. There are many of anecdotal testimonies to Bug Off Garlic working, but I can never find any real scientific studies with a double blind control group. I have been feeding the Bug off garlic and it has only helped his health, not hurt it. Some feel Garlic is bad for dogs... BOG is air dried garlic and that removes the bad stuff so it does not effect the red blood cells.

I like one-shot kills where possible and prefer to do all my hunting before I shoot. ..... Elmer Keith

    Vectra 3D. It's great.
