Rick Bullock or Isaac Langerud would be my 2 choices regardless of the dogs future "career" it still needs basics and a trainer who pays attention to the health and well being of the dogs their entrusted with.
Isaac is one of my favorite trainers in the game! His care for the well being of your dog is to upmost importance to him along with finding what style of training each dog needs.

Thanks so much for the info. Originally, my friend wanted his pup to be trained to become his hunting companion. His son, on the other hand, is interested in hunt test or possibly field trials. He has a very well bred little guy that will be ready for it all
Thanks again for replying with good information.
