How many guns?

After seeing the username "onegunguy" I began wondering who uses multiple guns for different birds or types of bird hunting. What gauge and action do you prefer? I have a friend who is deadly on the clays course and in the field. He always says the shooters you need to worry about showing you up are the ones who do it all with a single gun. Maybe that's my excuse for poor shooting?!

I own a couple of pumps, a pair of side by sides and a semi auto, but 99% of the shooting I do is with one of my 3 Ruger Red Labels. 12 20 or 28 depending on the game I am playing or shooting.

I didn't vote but here's my breakdown.
Benelli Supersport 12 ga auto - skeet, trap and sporting clays
Benelli Super Black Eagle 12 ga auto - Waterfowl, some upland
Mossburg 500 12 ga pump - Turkey and predators when I take a shotgun
Stoeger sxs 12 ga -some upland
Borrowed Beretta 686 28 ga o/u - some upland
Ithaca SKB 20 ga auto - cottontails and other small game
Currently looking for my own 28 ga o/u for the game farm

I think that a person that does it all with one gun is comfortable with that weapon. I shoot all my guns fairly well so I think that statement isn't always true because i know guys that have been shooting for years and they still can't hit the broad side of a barn standing inside of it.

Was only able to salvage a few from the storm but I still have a Remington Model 700 with a Leupold scope, 2-870's, a Winchester Model 1300, a Charles Daly 12 ga. semi-auto, and for personal protection a S&W Model 1911 .45 cal & a Astra A-12 9mm.

I really like the old doubles I've got three, a Stevens 12 and a matching pair of Springfield Arms 12 and 16 their all older than me but they shoot great.

I voted that I was a convicted felon but in reality, I didn't get caught.

I have 4 different shotguns, .222Mag, .270, 30-30, and a .22

S&W 9mm and some kind of .25 auto.

Really have no idea why, it's a rare occasion that I shoot any of them, other than a FT or in training.

I have six or seven shotguns, not counting our popper guns. I can only use two in Mexico so I use a Rem 1170 & a Citori Lightning for most of my hunting.

Well, when I signed up here and at shotgunworld.com, I had only "one gun" for over 20years. It was a Mossberg 500 that I bought with the mowing money I earned. I was only allowed to buy my own after I successfully shot five grouse with a single shot .410.

I could hit just about anything with that 500... It wasn't until I shot some "Annie Oakley" with a bunch of "professional" shooters that I heard the "beware the fella with one gun" phrase. I just happened to be "on" that night, but that Mossberg was a smokin'!

Now, I have finally been able to afford a "few" other guns and can't seem to shoot my way out of a wet paper bag. But, I like having more than just the Mossberg.
