Interesting trivia piece: Dr. Tim Hunt, our sponsor, is running a team in this year's Iditarod!

http://iditarod.com/resources/calendar/

In the top left is a countdown calendar to the start of that race.

I remember a younger time when I thought my dog game was the "right" one, the "best" one, etc. etc.

Today I'm awed by most all dog games, the people that participate, and the dogs that love doing what they do!

There is little snow in Anchorage, so the Iditarod starts in Fairbanks this year.
(A ceremonial start in Anchorage, then the head up the highway 360 miles to Fairbanks)

Brent CRUSHED it! and Allen Moore ran a great race.

As I understand it, Brent and Allen were coming in the final leg last year when Brent had an accident and had to be air-lifted out.

Everybody who finished this race is great, but these two guys and their dogs are simply amazing.

Good luck to those still out and the teams who'll run the Iditarod.

Brent suffered a terrible concussion last year after falling asleep and hitting his head on an icy lake while running the dogs. He had to withdraw after he found himself unable to take care of the dogs or himself.
This year he wore a protective helmet....and he WINS!!!
