After a dog gives birth, how soon can you resume training?

In general, after the dam is through weaning her pups. Whether you choose to let the dam decide when this happens vs stepping in and starting to wean earlier than "mom" may have done so on her own will influence when you can resume training.

Since our girls are usually taking off time from being campaigned, we choose to move the process along so they can get back to work. We introduce food when pups are about 3 weeks of age and can have the girls back on a conditioning/training program by the time pups are 4 weeks old.
