It would be if the quality of the VHS tape was sub par from use. I know that my tapes the volume is muted in many parts, the video is broken up from viewing it, etc. If someone was in this same situation and still used or watched the videos it would make sense. In fact I was actually considering upgrading my VHS as I can hardly view them any longer. Just not sure that I would get as much use out of them now as I did before though.
