Default Kids say the funniest things - Dog related GDG

I’m sitting down at my desk drawing up a test to do on my ponds and working out where I’m putting the flyer, and such, when I notice my 5 year old daughter looking over my shoulder. Once I make just a hint of eye contact she points to part of the sketch and asks – “Daddy is that a poison bird?”

The best part is that it was!

I had to share it and figured it might make someone other than me smile.

Very cool and a proud moment indeed!

I had a similar one this hunting season. I was unloading my truck after going hunting and my daughter who was not yet 3 years old saw me walk in with my shotgun (she hadn't seen this particular shotgun before) and she said "Daddy, your shotgun is camo!" I said that she was right and then she turned her little hands palms up and said "But....I dont' have a shotgun." Her hand gesture, facial expression and voice inflection was like "what is the deal with that?" I said, "Darlin' if you still want a shotgun when you get big enough for one, Daddy will buy you a shotgun."

How cute! I have to share a story about my 2 year old. The other day we caught him in the house with a bumper. He would say 'sit' and then he'd toss the bumper for our golden like he's seen me do. It was so cute. He also LOVES the duck call and the whistle.

Here is one of my "little dog trainer" this was made about a year ago. The pup is about 3 or 4 months old. He didn't have a bumper handy, so he was using a Nylabone.

When my oldest son was about 4, and archery season was open while we were still in day-light saving time, I'd stop for a quick hunt on my way home from work. When I'd hit the door he'd ask me what I got and the answer was generally, "peace of mind, relaxation, fresh air, etc." After about the 4th day he comes back with "Dad you must just be a dumb deer hunter." He didn't get an arguement.
