Heard this through the grapevine!! Anyone have first hand knowledge of this at the Northwest Retriever Trial? Dog was dropped after water blind and the Pro bitched so much the judges brought the dog back and then awarded it the Blue!!

Check out the Retriever Club of Alaska in the Events area; they had a similar winner in open. It was an error on the callbacks.

the Alaska event is the one Mary aka. Kingofthecamp or Deadeye spoke of in the chat room last evening. So...... did it happen twice? At Northwest and at Alaska Retriever Club?

It wouldn't be the first time that a dog that thought by the owner to be dropped went on to win the trial. The judges try to rationalize there decision by remarking the winner neededi the win for the national.

That is not how it happened at the Northwest trial! The dog had excellent work and when call backs came it was not on the list. The handler questioned and it had been an oversight when they wrote their call back list. Mistakes do happen.
Talk about gossip............shame on all of you. Do you have nothing better to discuss than the events that you were not present to witness?
