IS THIS WATER SAFE?

I have just moved the family to Germany includeing my lab Star, but the water here has a lot of heavy metals in it. I am giving her bottled water by the name of Culligan Flouoride added water. Is this safe for the dog? Thanks for your time. I am in the Heidelberg area just in case there is anyone close to the area.

NO. Dog Tooth enamel can not deal with flouride. It will not kill the dog or anything just damages the teeth.

Hi there,

In Australia all of our town tap water contains fluoride (unless of course you're on tank water!). My dogs have never really had anything other than this water with fluoride and have fantastic teeth.

Perhaps the concentration is different in the bottled version?

If you are in the Military and are on Post or leased housing the water out of the tap is safe. Tested often as done in the USA. The Europeans are very health aware and your dog is going to be safe. But if you must......give the dog a bottle of beer. That's the purist beverage!
