trainers rights/ Scotland? Who is next?

I don’t have all the details but my business partner found out about a potential e-collar ban in Scotland that is coming up. She has been asked by the government to provide the opposing view and more information about collars. I would hope that everyone who trains, is aware that there are some groups that are much more organized than us who would like to take away some of our rights. This applies to all of us, not just people who use the collar. Please think long and hard about looking into CPAC. Protect your rights to train in your venue with your methods in a safe and humane way. Maybe someone from across the pond could provide details about this issue. Duck season is almost here!

This is the type of stuff I mean by the fact we are not very organized. Most of us wait until it’s in our backyard and then start looking for a fix. I wish you well Jim and hope folks turn out to support you. My partner and I work and live in the Midwest, things take a little longer to get here but be sure all of us will face losing rights with our dogs. I used Jims thread because it was recent, but I can think of many times where somebody was looking for help. Please don’t wait until it gets to that point. My partner will be making trips to DC in the near future on behalf of trainers and groomers. There has been very little support from the retriever world so far and it’s such a large passionate group.
