Default Fair payment for day use of property?

Can someone give me an idea of what would be an acceptable day training rate for use of someone's property?

We have about a dozen people in our pre-MN training group and someone, to remain nameless, won't answer my question about what would be acceptable payment.

This would be for a full day of training, useof both land and water. Thanks!

I heard the price of one place around here was $10.00 per day per dog. I have never trained at this spot and am sure it is for a small approved group and not open to the public.
You would probably need to have people sign a waiver for injury to dog and trainer also.
Chose your trainers carefully so you do not lose your training grounds over someones stupidity.

I think that's about average, but per vehicle.

The ones I know of around here are $10/day per dog, sometimes with a minimum charge for a group. None of the properties is publicly advertised or open for training. You need some form of intro to the landowner.

I wish we had property like that near me. Designed for training with ponds and fields etc.

    I'd gladly pay

    Default Day Use

Large Group - Exclusive Use - $400-$450 per day
Individuals &/or small groups - $10-$15 per dog per day
Both with hold harmless forms to sign

I believe that to be reasonable - considering availability of grounds anywhere & that they are maintained to be usable for training.

A dozen people and at least that many dogs? A fair stipend would be at least $100 from the group, maybe more if you are taking the property for the entire day. We rent grounds for 4 hours and it costs the club $ 100. We do this every Wednesday night for 12 weeks at least.

Maybe offer $150 since it is the entire day.

That's about what I was guessing... One of the other places we're going is $10 per PERSON and that seems more than reasonable, so I'll pay more to a friend...

THANK YOU ALL for your replies!!

Sue Selman owns the 14,000 acre ranch where we just held the Cimarron RC. She charges $35 per day per handler. I'm sure she charges Shrader more than that to run a full string of dogs, but that's the going rate with her.

If you've eve seen these grounds, it's worth the drive, but it IS in the middle of nowhere. Sue also has a bunk house you can rent.
