For days I've been looking for subtle signs. My bitch's temperature has hovered just below 100 degrees. She's been on and off her feed, off and then on again. Does she look concerned? Does she look normal? Last night's temperature: 99.9. Five this morning, everything the same.
But dawn showed great enlargement of the hole in the middle of her pen, through and well beyond the gravel, with dirt and clods *everywhere*. A big pile of straw shoved out the door of her whelping box....and little mewing sounds.
It's not hard to tell when they're finally here! 2 Black, 1 yellow, and hoping all goes smoothly with the rest.
