Default NCAA awards shows/Satellite TV subscribers

Tonight (12/10) at 8pm est, ESPN-U is going to air a repeat of the Home Depot 2007 College football awards show that first aired last Thursday (12/6) night on ESPN. This show will re-air again tomorrow (12/11) at 1pm est on ESPN-U as well.

Most anyone who subscribes to satellite (I don't think any cable systems carry this network....) gets this network (ESPN-U), especially if they subscribe to a sports package. Since I know we have a TON of sports fans on this site, I need a favor from someone who (1) gets ESPN-U, (2) has the capability to record it (DVR or TIVO), and (3) can copy it onto a DVD. I need a copy of this show. If you can do so, please send me a PM and we'll discuss particulars.

Thanks in advance for your consideration!

I'll give it a shot for you. I have both a DVR and TIVO, but I have never copied anything to a DVD. I understand it is easy, but I have never tried. If someone is sure they can do it, please do and I will still give it a try.

Thanks, Corey. A couple of folks taped the Chick-Fil-A bowl (formerly the Peach Bowl) last year and were able to copy it for me. I believe it was "GammonLabs" that did it....haven't seen him post in awhile, though....try to copy it on both if you can. More "sources" is better than fewer.

My daughter taped it EARLY Saturday morning, but I'm unsure about the transfer process to DVD as well. I'm just hedging my bets, here.....

Thanks again! Any and all help will be GREATLY appreciated!

I am here in town and have a DVR.....not sure about the transfer to DVD. If you can find a way to transfer it, I would be happy to try it.....

    Keith,
I should be able to handle it. I'm pretty sure we get that channel and will check this evening when I get home from the office. As long as I DO get the channel I will have no problem putting it on a DVD for you.

Got the DVD recorder set to get it for you,
Send me your address and I will get Lesa to mail it to you tomorrow or the next day.

Going to record the Heisman Trophy Presentation also if you want that.

Priority 1 is the 2 hour 2007 college football awards show from ESPN-U. If you can get the Heisman on there without adding another disc, go for it.

You've been a big help, Marty! Look for my PM....
