Now Clemens is being mentioned in the same sentence with Bonds.
What is the difference between Performance drugs and drugs in general!! They have been using them for years!! Babe Ruth was a drunk! So was Mickey Mantle(died of liver failier)!! But they are held high on a pedistol!! And these guys are scum because they used drugs to build there body up? Doesnt make no sense to me! Maybe if Babe Ruth wasnt hooked on tearing his body down, He would of hit more Homers!!!! Kevin
Since 1993 when they told us to go screw ourselves, who cares.
My biggest kicks of the baseball season are watching the Little League and College World series.
Pro BB is drawing more fans than ever, shows you PT Barnum was right.
Player's Union needs to take a hard look at where they have taken the game.
Bud Selig, you have got to be kidding!
National Pass Time, now National Past Time.

That's when I stopped really calling myself a major league baseball fan. I loved it before, but the strike ruined things for me. I understand a little bit, but I just couldn't get how people could complain about how many MILLIONS of dollars they were getting paid to play a game that I would have paid to keep playing after high school. So I'm with you: college, little league, highschool, they are the game.

Because performance enhancing drugs affect others (the players who choose to play on their own merits) and their inherent ability, other drugs affect the individual and their ability to perform (generally negatively).
The players who chose to play on their own merits should be congratulated, unfortunately the actions of a few (those choosing to use performance enhancing drugs) affect the reputation of the many (those players who made their way with their born ability).
From a report on TV, 600,000 + high school students have admitted to using Performance inhencing drugs!! I think they need to go after them alittle younger!!
I heard the press conference on talk radio. It was on all 3 of the talk stations. It was not a surprise or shock and to me a waste of airtime of something that was news worthy. I have met a fair number of pro atheletes and have been very nice and quite humble. I feel pro sports as a whole is really hurting themselves. Between strikes, bad behavior and over inflated saleries and in ever higher ticket prices.
We have a local AA or AAA ball team and field with players who seamingly like the game still and is a great atmospher. I would rather watch college, high school or minor league of any sport play.

Marion Jones was forced to give back all her Olympic medals for taking the same steroid that I take EVERY DAY!!!
I keep hoping that one day I'll have to give them back, but I don't see it in the near future.

Think about this from a different angle. Are you pleased that your elected officials in Congress are expending resources investigating steriod use in Major League Baseball? Is that what you are paying them for?
