    Red face Katrina article

After I got back from Louisiana, some of you asked if you could see the article I was writing.
In my opinion, the cattlemen who donated bulls to the Katrina rancher/victims show the true spirit of giving.
Anyway, the article has been published and is at:

I hope I did the link right - computer literacy is not one of my strong points. Come to think of it, literacy isn't one of my strong points.

As someone who lost a home in Katrina, lived in the back of a pickup for 3 months, FEMA'd it, rebuilt, fought for insurance, etc, let me just say a profound "Thank You and May God Bless You!" to anyone and everyone who has participated, or is still participating, in the recovery effort from that hellish experiance. What each of you has done has meant more than you will know, and more than most of us could ever figure out how to express.

    God Bless,

Becky, that was a good read!

I'll make sure that I ask for Black Angus burgers next time.

Thanks for keeping the plight of our local coastal ranchers at the forefront.

Good article. It's great to give recognition to the many people who have already done so much and it's wonderful that your article may encourage others to do the same.

    Becky-

I missed this thread. Stories aren't read with interest if an author can't bring a story to life and make the reader care about those involved. It's impossible not to feel compassion for these folks from your very first sentence. You did an outstanding job. I'm just sorry the story needed to be told.

Baby sister- ya did good. A story like this needs to be told by someone with your kinda heart.

Thank y'all for your kind words. The Louisiana ranchers absolutely blew me away - no whining, no complaining. I don't see how in the world they kept going cause it broke my heart to hear about what they'd been through. I just wish I had Brad Pitt's money so I could help them.

Becky really enjoyed the article. Thanks for reminding us that though things are better there is still alot of work ahead to recover.

Wow. Great story. Very sad and uplifting at the same time. Kudos to those farmers for donating to fellow farmers so they can start to get back on their feet.

    Thanks for sharing.
