CZ shotgun???

I have a friend looking at the CZ Canvasback and/or Mallard in 20ga. Do any of you guys know anything about either of these guns? He is looking for a nice 20 under $900. Thanks,

I have a Ruger Red Label 20 gauge with screw in choke tubes. Prior to this I ordered a winchester in a Pigeon Grade in a 20 gauge. The rumor was another customer went to the gun shop and saw the gun was so nice he offered the dealer extra. This was to replace a 12 Citori lightweight with an English stock stolen in Montana.

CZ is decent gun. It will not hold up to the strain of thosands of rounds a year at the range, but for the average hunter is a nice weapon. If he can, look at as many guns as possible as the wood ranges from junk to very nice.

I have the Redhead model in 28 gauge. I like it very well. I have shot trap with it and done some pheasant and a little duck hunting with it. It is very well balanced and light. The only problem I have is that the choke tubes are very low quality. Mine seems to pattern well, but the tubes are still not the quality that I would like to see.

I have a CZ Ringneck [SxS] in 28 ga. that I probably put 7 or 8 flats of shells through it a year shooting 5 stand and hunting. Has held up well for 3 years now, the Turks build a good gun.

It is a good gun for the money....Academy is selling a Turkish gun for $399 that will give you the same kind of service...it is a shooter.

Have CZ canvasback shoots great no mechanical problems, looked great when I got it, looks good now pretty rough usage.
