Default AKC Registered Name - How many letters

How many letters does the AKC give you for a registered name?

    Thanks

    Ted

AKC just announced a pilot program to change from 36 letters to 37 to 50 for a nominal fee.

With the paper forms I believe he limit is now 30. However, by registering on-line you can do about 36. I recently registered a pup with a 32 character name.

I know you can add a couple of your own blocks at the end of the paper form and they will accept it.

You can if you get the kennel owner's permission. If the name is registered to them, you need to have them sign the registration form in the appropriate area.

I bought a dog from Judy and was thinking of using Trumarc in the name. It seems that I recall checking with AKC and finding that Trumarc was not registered with them.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong about that.
