Nice pics Charles. I have been thinking about a D40x. How do you like the controls and do they seem user friendly. I haven't looked at one very close. My only disappointment with the D40 or D40x is they don't support older auto focus lenses. I need a new camera for taking reference photos.
It's very user friendly, and there's an online video tutorial that helps clear things up. From what I understand, the D40 takes better pictures in low light. If I were going with the higher mega pixels, I'd look into the new D60. But it also only supports auto focus lenses. The upside is the camera is relatively small and light because there's no focus motor in the body.
