    Unhappy Broken Leg

Sophie got run over by the skidsteer. I took her straight to the vet and the x-ray showed an incomplete fracture. The vet put her in a splint and gave her a few days worth of pain meds. She is going to be confined for at least 4 weeks and I have to take her to the vet every week to get the splint rewrapped. After 4 weeks they are going to do another set of x-rays and see what the leg looks like. It is going to be a loooong 4 weeks.

Other than when I fed the cows she has spent the whole day sitting on the couch with me.

OH, the poor baby! I'm sorry this happened to her... maybe let her watch Animal Planet for the next 4 weeks?

    Hoping she heals quickly, regards-

Hopefully her leg will heal quickly. At least it wasn't a complete fracture so it shouldn't take as for her to get back on her feet so to speak.

If he exposes her to Animal Planet for 4 weeks I might have to call PETA on him. I would be ripping up upholstery and base boards myself if I had to sit through the never ending commercials. How about let her watch the entire set of Lardy tapes, the Aycock-Farmer vids, and then the Fowl Dogs series? Entertainment and education!

She is a beautiful dog, wishing her a speedy recovery.

Poor little girl Keep her confined and she should heal up quite nicely. Good luck and sorry to hear about her troubles.

I told one of those people that after I let my dog view those tapes, he still couldn't run a blind, so I sent the tapes back....

Mine love to hear the whisltes, they were sitting to the whistles on the Attar DVD the other night.

Mine was watching the Sound Beginnings video last night. He was really intent on it. When Jackie would say "sit" to the pups, Indy would sit and stare until he heard the word down, did that too. He was really comical, so rapt! I think Sophie might enjoy the puppy tapes while she recuperates.

Thanks everyone. We did manage to watch some Mike Lardy material yesterday, between the baseball and Nascar. Sophie loves the see-saw drill from Sound Beginnings.

The four weeks will be even longer when I get my new wingers tomorrow.
