That moto is about protecting the law and serving the governments best interests. Your right as a citizen is to not incriminate yourself. You do not have to answer any questions an officer asks you, and you have the right to have legal representation when answering any questions. After my recent experience the only thing I have to say to a cop is
Am I under arrest? do you have a warrant for my arrest? If not I have nothing to say. If so, then read my rights and get my attorney present.
