Hrc Ban

In the HRC magazine this quarter there is a mention of 2 people being penalized. One is kicked out for a time period and the other feller lost his membership, priviledges, breeding rights, HRC testing rights, Dog registering rights, heck everything FOR LIFE!!!!!

Question: What sort of infraction must one commit in the HRC in order to get banned for life.

If this has been handled in a former thread, I apologize for the redundency. I don't know how to do a search.

I do not know any specifics and have not seen the ones you refer to in this particular issue.

I do know that I've asked Claudene in the past, and also discussed it with the Kalamazoo folks at UKC. In the past, those were actually UKC violations and were folks on the coonhound side, not the retriever side...and the specifics were not something that they would share.

My only point is to indicate that just because it is in the HRC magazine, does not automatically mean it was a retriever event with retriever people.

Banned for life sounds to me like funny business with UKC registration, but that's purely a guess.

As Chris said, most of the UKC suspensions are usually hound people. The retriever world is mighty tame compared to what goes on in the coonhound world.

I guess I am a little confused. Why would UKC announce a suspension in the "Hunting RETRIEVER Club" magazine if they are referencing a Hound?

Because they would be banned from any UKC event, hound or retriever.

Most of the time as said before, these are UKC bans and are for any UKC event. HOWEVER, this time it is apparent that the ban has to do with HRC since there is an appeal announced in the HRC annual meeting agenda. That is the process by which one is re-instated, by appeal to the Board of Directors.

I have spent some time in the night hunts with the hounds, The bans are coming from people physically fighting or cheating. Also from people " beating or mistreating there hounds " and are convicted in a court of law.

I am not familiar with UKC or HRC events or rules. However, in AKC there are many infractions that can get one suspended for life. They include every thing from varying degrees of unsportsmanlike conduct to registration rules breeding one dog and registering the puppies under a different sire and/or dam.

In the AKC world if you dig deep enough you can find the reason that some one was suspended. Not necessarily the details but the rule(s) that were broken and the penalty imposed.
