Have your vet call with a referral to the Ortho vets at http://dfwvetsurgeons.com/. They are on Trinity Mills in North Dallas. I took Dusty there when he had to have a TPLO. Plus Emma went there when she had to have a new hip after being hit by a car (previous owner). They are good people.

Depending on what your dog's issue is you may select particular orthopedic surgeons. If you think you are going to need arthroscopy, it would be well worth the trip to go to Houston to Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists - Dr. Brian Beale. Also cheaper is not always better. And don't forget about rehab - you will also want to set up with someone to help your dog through the recovery process.

There are a few rehabilitation therapists in the DFW area. You can find the location of certified rehabilitation therapists through the Canine Rehabilitation Institute - www.caninerehabilitationinstitute.com and UT CE at http://www.canineequinerehab.com/.

I believe the Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center has North Texas Animal Rehabilitation.
