As many of you know, RTF member Nancy White is battling Leukemia and the only thing that can save her life is a bone marrow (stem cell) transplant. Nancy has come through the chemo phase to put her disease in remission very well, now they need to find a donor from the donor bank because Nancy's only sister is not a match. Nancy asked me to post this announcement. Any RTF'rs who were willing to add their data to this national bank are very much encouraged to consider doing so now. Every bit more of data might be the one that helps Nancy, and if not Nancy, many others needing life saving help can benefit. The donation program is currently free, "in honor of Mothers Day." Usually donors have to pay to add their data but not right now. (I understand that it is a cheek swab test, that many of us are familiar with for gathering dog DNA).
