I would like to know that myself. I've heard the US titles are harder to get.

There are NO easy titles. The Canadian are in no hurry to give an American owned dog a title. We are just another wetback jumping the border to play their game !!!

Canadians can not, or more correctly, could not, shoot flyers. That's a big difference.

Other than that, the trials are the same. I cut my teeth on the Canadian circuit when I lived in British Columbia. Generally, when the American dog's came to town, they'd kick butt. Gonia was the big gun up there at the time. Not too many other American Pro's ran in the West, but we're talking many years ago.

I believe that if your dog does well in the US, it'll do well in Canada. In Westeren Canada, many of the field trial club members are American anyhow. They used to always have a trial in Kamloops on the 4th of July. What a BLAST!!

    HAHAHA that's fabulous you hoser!

In Canada like anywhere else, the best dog that weekend wins.
Sometimes though we ply you yanks with "real" beer the night before, and then we will have an edge.

Still don't have flyers -- but I would like to think as "that Canadian on the RTF" that our FTs are competitive in their own way -- and just as nice to win as any

Yes, I think they're very similar. The format is the same and so are the rules as I remember. The people are a little more laid back though. Well, a lot more.

I used to run my old dog in Canada (Manitoba) alot. Great people, good grounds and water and alot of fun and they do know how to party! The entries are alot smaller, but it really doesn't matter as still only 4 dogs place. Also, they are so organized. They run a 35 dog Open in 1 day, and if your dog number 1 and they say "we start at 7:00". that means you better be ready to go to the line at 7:00.01. A few things TO REMEMBER! Try to get a meal after 8:00 pm! Lots of luck! Motels - what we call a dive they call the Presidential suite. You can't by Rye at the Beer store and vise versa and you don't buy ice at either - you go to the gas station for that.
