    Default GDG I'll be glad when the election's over! GDG

    Many of us have had our hunting seasons open for a week now.

    My pup retrieved his first goose from a layout blind on a mudflat on Labor Day. My buddy's little pup has retrieved dozens of birds. Geese, teal and dove, all in the last week. I'm proud to have spent some time doing a small bit of yardwork with that pup. Little Ruff is going to be one heck of a gundog for seasons to come!

    I can't wait to get out there and have some more fun watching some young retrievers do what they were bred to do!

    - Hunt safely! Chris

    Chris;

    ISIS an I have a total of 13 geese in the frezzer of which 11 of them were scooped up buy the labs in our care. Man we took the two older ones out every day we hunted. If we released them they would run in the water at thigh level and tackel each other until they were give out with no go left as we the hunters picked up decoys put away the blind pushed the boat back into the water, and so on. I too can not wait for the days when this board is full of dog stories again instead of the I hate Repubs or demos and on and on. With that said eagerly awaiting the sept teal season hear hopes for a full bag every day to you and your friends.

    Amen brother Chris.
    We still have a bit to go before we will see any action down this far. Some of the guys up in the north part of the state have been getting some geese. Still way too hot to do much of anything down here though

    I too will be happy when the elections are over and the amount of political threads go back down to minimal or non-existent!!

    Got a few dove opening week, but had to be careful with the dogs.

    It will get better!

    Brother BBG,

    Sounds like if you wanna kill Florida geese in early Sept., you need to hang out with the Zach and Haney show.

    Smitty, sounds like you and Isis have some serious Goose on a stick to throw in the grill.

    There are a few other recipes there too.

    Seems like maybe we need am update on the RTF cookbook. Stegs, you out there?
