Dog vest part 2

I seen the other day someone was talking about dog vest, I'v never bought one before and i was wondering if you guys could help me

1. How tight around the chest and the body should it be ?

2. If i were to get velcro how much over lap should there be if any ?

3. Do all brands fit about the same or does some brands rub the dogs wrong and leave them sore ?

Each fits a little different if you look in the magazines you will see each has a different size for a different measurement. To keep them from rubbing sores on the dog you make altercations to the vest that you buy to make it fit your dog properly. Buy the one that fits the best then start cutting and resealing the cuts with some sort of cement. (Look at some of the other threads. Go to search and type in dog vest. One of the guys named Rick talks about making altercations). The velcro can overlap as much as needed it is used to make the vest tighter on the dog. My advice would be to measure your dog order on from some place that has a good return policy that way if it doesnt fit right you can send it back. That is what I'm going to do probably from Cabelas or Macks Wings.
