European Pheasant Hunt/Duck Hunts
I have been to bring one of my dogs to retrieve pheasants and ducks at a local plantation. I have never done this before, other than hunting myself. Has anyone done this. Other than the obvious bozo who would want to shoot near your dog, what are the drawbacks.
E-collar of course. Payment is $100 plus tips for a morning shoot, so I need to consider it.

Did it a half dozen times a few years back. It can be a wonderful experience for younger dogs, if you have older dogs in the field to pick up the harder marks.
Like you said- Make absolutely clear before the hunt the operation and location of the dogs. I would even ask the guides to be allowed to make your own safety spill just after their mandatory safety speach.
Other than dealing with morons that may shoot you or your dog, Have a blast!
Your getting paid? Sheesh, I do it for free.
I would have done it for free also, but I didn't tell them. I need to visit one day and see what's going on before I commit.

I have done prolly 10/12 of these tower shoots.
I only send my dog after the shooting has ended.I even make the dog wait for birds that fall really close(Some within a foot or 2 of us). though some guys send while shooting.
do it lotsa fun for doggie and you.good spot to work on problems,ie whinning,breaking,steadiness.
