Default How Often Do You Change Your Avatar

Hi everyone, I was in the mood tonight to look at my BLF as my avatar for a change of pace. I am just curious how often others here change their avatars. I must admit that I also feel a bit badly if I don't spread the love between all of my dogs. So the dog in my avatar now is my girl Lexi. She is almost 2 now, and really looking good. We will be running this weekend at the South West Missouri Hunt test, and I am hoping for good things. I have been running her 500 bird Europeans for the past two weekends, and she is really getting fired up again. Fingers crossed.

    She is really beautiful!
I understand about "spreading the love".. I haven't been on RTF long enough to really need to change my Avatar yet but one thing about keeping it is I think sometimes people recognize each other more on that than their actual names except the persons they know in real life. Just my two cents
(would you really recognize Bubba or Paul without theirs? )

Not sure if I'll ever change mine ... my ylw female is my pride and joy today ... but my avitar is the pic of the now "old man" who started it all for me. Just something small I like to keep him on that pic always as a reminder.

Seldom, if ever but clearly not never...after all, why would I?

Reading this thread reminded me of my original avatar, so I changed it back. I've only had two in 5 years. "PUFFIN" was once the RTF header and several RTF members have had their photos taken with the dreadlock wig.

Julie, Scout would so love to borrow your dreadlock wig for halloween!!! As call name for "Westwinds Buffalo Soldier, we REALLY wanted to use "Dread" but could find no way to avoid confusion when running blinds!

As far as my avatar, it is 100% Indy and for now I see no reason for change. If husband wants to put Scout in his he may do it, but Indy still gets star billing in my world!

Typically I change my avatar whenever I take that "better" picture of my dog.

Funny that this topic started now as I was just changing my avatar last week. Greta is really important to me right now after all the tests we did together this summer. So I used a pic of her

Carol, I agree, Indy belongs on your avatar. I have no doubt with Ralph's creativity he can probably photoshop a tam and some dreads on a picture of Scout and it is getting close to Halloween. Some people prefer not to embarrass their pets, but I have no such compunctions. Here's last year's pic:
