Default GDG - Where is the Messiah getting - GDG

The Messiah seems to have considerable money for the campaign. Anyone have any idea where it is coming from?

Do we have another Buddhist temple &/or Chinese national hustling funds - only on a much larger scale? Only in this case there would be a different connection?

    He's doing well isn't he.

The people who are contributing (I'm one of them) are those who are tired the disastrous Bush presidency. The contributors are the ones who think that you should vote for someone who has solutions, not one who attacks his opponent.

The contributors are the ones who feel that Sarah Palin could be the most inept vice presidential candidate ever.

The contributors are the ones who fear another religious right hijacking of the government.

The contributors are the ones who worry that a president whose net worth is about $100 million may not be in touch with the concerns of mainstream America.

Why don't you email the Buddhist/Chinese statement to the McCain campaign? That would give them another topic to cover at rallies (since they don't seem to want to discuss issues).

Actually there was an article in the Wall Street Journal the other day stating that there is an estimated 3.3 million dollars of fraudulent foreign donations that Obama has not provided proper documentation on and may have to return.

This is straight out of Lee Atwater's playbook.

That is a good question... Instead of taking direct money from lobbyists, I read that Obama is accepting the maximum donation per individual. So instead of accepting large donations from particular companies, contributions are being made in the name of employees or family members of employees to Obama's campaign. That is why most of his campaign money is considered to be made by the individual. Obama can claim that he is not taking money from lobbyists or PACs but he is taking it from their members.

A massive amount of information is available on donations for both candidates on the Federal Election Commission web site. Through August -- the date of the most recent filings -- the total amounts received by each were roughly comparable. The biggest difference was that McCain received a huge amount from the RNC while Obama raised almost all of his own money. Also, the bulk of McCain donations were in the $500-1000 category while the bulk of Obama's were less than $200. Both candidates are having problems screening their donations to prevent illegal foreign contributions or serial donations from individuals that, when added up, may exceed Federal limits. Both have screening programs in place and both have processed many refunds when contributions were found to be inappropriate. As an interesting side note, Obama has received many more donations from U.S. soldiers stationed overseas than has McCain. Both candidates have filed protests against the other for allegedly inappropriate fund raising and, if history is any guide, these complaints will be heard long after the election has faded in memory.

The other "big" difference is that McCain has released information on WHO was contributing money and Obama has not beyond what is required by law.

Full disclosure would be nice regards,

No playbook - the amount of money coming into this campaign should be a major cause for concern if there is not an oppenness beyond what the FEC requires.

Hussien is receiving massive amounts of cash from foreign contributers, something that is highly illegal. This after he broke his promise to take Federal Election funds.
