As a student of the media, I can assure you that is not only a rifle, but a semi-automatic rifle that uses only bullets that can penetrate protective metal worn by police officers...otherwise known as "cop killer" bullets. I can also assure you, after spending the last 3 weeks in Alaska looking into who this Palin person is, she is extremely dangerous and has proposed that the government use the windfall profits from the oil companies to buy every newborn child in Alaska a semi-automatic rifle that uses cop killer bullets. Think about that people. And I see that Journalism Student paid attention in class, as it is a documented fact that the KKK started the trend of carrying semi-automatic guns in that manner to demonstrate their authority over minorities and is in fact, racist. Trust me....I know what I am talking about....I am the media.

OMG are you really serious implicating Newsweek in this?.
First, the Newsweek article is a couple weeks old. It is a pretty balanced and straightforward background piece on her. On the other hand, Newsweek's current article at is a little more pointed. It is titled "The Palin problem" and available at http://www.newsweek.com/id/162396
Second, nice try at implicating newsweek. The blog article is not the newsweek article. Newsweek never made such innacurate statements.
Third, why do you keep trying to imply that left or right wing blog posts are the same as the mainstream media? This a an entertainment reporters blog. Exactly who is not part of the mainstream media in your view.
Fourth, check out this "mainstream media" person's other blog entries at http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/thedishrag/. Yeah, pretty heavy, heady, and relevant stuff there including another entry about that newsweek item where she corrected herself. Unbelievable such attacks are out there.
